Lake Nunungan

Nunungan Lake is located in Lanao del Norte and approximately 830 meters above sea level (2,723 feet). The Mount Inayawan Range Natural Park is a forested mountain range in the Philippines' Northern Mindanao region. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed Proclamation 1344 on July 30, 2007, designating the Mount Inayawan Range Natural Park as a protected realm, covering a total land area of 3,986 hectares, with a buffer zone of 866 hectares. Nunungan's soil and climate are similar to those of La Trinidad, Benguet, making it ideal for growing strawberries and other Baguio-grown veggies. (Richard Rey Cruz)


Lake Nunungan sits on the foot of Mt. Inayawan. With its well-preserved sceneries, surrounding farmlands, and wildlife, it is surely one of the emerging tourist destinations of Lanao del Norte, “The Land of Beauty and Bounty”. (PIO-LDN)

  Jardin de Rachma   is an initiative of the local government of Magsaysay. It is located in their Farm Tourism Center and is popular due to its colorful multi-tiered garden. As you ascend through the the various steps, you’ll get to appreciate the intricate details and colors of the concrete structures that surround the flowers. The plants have yet to grow and thicken, but they already exude different vibrant colors. The main attraction is a giant golden kettle located at the center of the farm that looks like it’s pouring fresh water into a concrete cup. As you move upwards, there are cottages where you can sit down and  appreciate the colorful view beneath you and the green scenery surrounding Jardin de Rachma. (VisMin)

Cathedral Falls

 Cathedral Falls   stone formation around the waterfalls, it resembles that of a Cathedral’s pillars that is why it was named Cathedral Falls. The stones are like the huge posts of a Cathedral, though they come in different shapes. It is also the boundary of the two Barangays of Kapatagan namely Barangay Cathedral Falls and Barangay Waterfalls.  Falls is  accessible via any mode of transportation. For now, the submarine bridge is not passable due to flood destruction. Only single motorcycle can cross the river so cars can park in Barangay Cathedral Falls. A short walk from the end of the concrete road. If you plan to commute, you may hire a habal-habal (single motorcycle) from the Kapatagan Town Center or near the Kapatagan Public Market to take you there.
